People express this special sentiment over & over at the Sunday Lunch, when I
entertain…
My first gig was at The Carlton Hotel Main Reef Bar in 1972 – yes, 40 years’
ago!
Music was just a hobby, during a 21-year career in education.
I would sometimes do ‘piano-locums’:
I was pianist at The Palace at Sun City; and during the 1995 Rugby World-Cup, I
was pianist for Holiday Inn.
More recently, I played the baby-grand piano alongside the cosy fire-place,
during the King-of-Jordan’s Wine-Estate visit!
And while Cape Judges lunched at The Five Flies Restaurant, I was asked to “play
the piano for an extra hour”…
Elton John, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Abba, Richard Clayderman, always goes
down well!
